Modern Entrepreneurship: Episode #2 - Which Road to Entrepreneurship is Right for You?

So you’re thinking about or have decided that entrepreneurship is the right “job” for you. In this current time, it’s kind of hip and cool to be an entrepreneur or at least that’s what a lot of people think. Entrepreneurship is hard work and requires you to be comfortable with uncertainty. Hopefully, you’re taking a calculated risk and have enough savings to cover at least a year’s worth of living expenses. Or, if you want to dip your toe in the “entrepreneurial pool” instead before fully immersing yourself, that’s fine. Depending upon the path your entrepreneurial journey leads you down, a side hustle might make sense.

There are three roads that lead you down the entrepreneurial path:
1) You can start a business from scratch;
2) You can buy an existing business: or
3) You can buy a franchise

This episode specifically focuses on purchasing a franchise as a pathway to entrepreneurship. What started out as a spiritual journey for my guest led to her making the choice to run her own business as a franchise owner and operator. The investment was hefty, but the return and reward were astounding—to make almost $1 million from the outset is unheard of, but it can be done.
